Thank You for Your Support
I would like to thank all who participated in the March 4, 2014 Special Election to succeed State Representative Eugene O’Flaherty. In an effort to shape the future of Chelsea and Charlestown, three great candidates, along with their supporters, put their lives on hold to campaign in harsh conditions. Everyone who participated should be commended.
On April 1, 2014 my name will appear on the ballot in the as the Democratic Party nominee in the uncontested General Election. In all likelihood, I will begin serving as your State Representative in April. It is my intention to impress upon those of you whom I have yet to meet that my passion for public service and my commitment to the communities of Chelsea and Charlestown has put me in this position. In the areas of the district that know me best, well over eighty percent of the voters trusted that I was the right candidate for the job. I can assure you this support comes from a lifetime of honest, hard work on behalf of my community. Please accept this note as a personal request for your vote on April 1st and again on September 9th and November 4th.
With focus and determination, I will continue to build an enduring coalition. Since the March primary I have secured the support of Chris Remmes, a primary candidate who ran a solid, issues-based campaign. I intend to work with Chris and his supporters on those items that they found most important. I have also secured the endorsements of other top leaders and opinion makers who were unable to commit to my candidacy in the primary.
These people are only pieces to the puzzle. If I am going to bring a complete picture of our district to Beacon Hill I need to hear from all of you. This does not mean we will agree on everything. However, my hope is that you will feel I am making informed decisions on your behalf. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like to hear from me: (617) 242-4920 or DanRyanForRep@gmail.com.
Once again, I thank the good people of Chelsea and Charlestown for their show of support towards all three candidates and the election process. Our communities are better because of your work.
